Quarantine & Titer Test

The Titer test and quarantine requirements depends on the categories of the import and export countries.
From a Rabies Free Country to any other country:
- No quarantine required (exception: China requires 7 days quarantine)
- No blood titer test required
- There may be restrictions and quarantine upon return
From a Rabies Controlled Country to a Rabies Controlled Country:
- No quarantine required
- No blood titer test required
- Rabies vaccination must be current
From a Rabies Controlled Country to a Rabies Free Country:
- No quarantine required with blood titer test and the pet is over nine (9) months of age and has a rabies vaccination history of at least two vaccinations within one (1) year and no less than six (6) months apart.
- Blood titer test required
- Rabies vaccination must be current
From a Rabies Controlled Country to a Rabies Infected Country:
- No quarantine required (exception: China requires 7 days quarantine)
- No blood titer test required
- Rabies vaccination must be current
From a Rabies Infected Country to a Rabies Controlled Country:
- No quarantine required
- Blood titer test required
- Rabies vaccination must be current
From a Rabies Infected Country to a Rabies Infected Country:
- No quarantine required (exception: China requires 7 days quarantine)
- No blood titer test required
- Rabies vaccination must be current
From a Rabies Infected Country to a Rabies Free Country:
- Entry may be refused
- Quarantine required for six (6) months
- Blood titer test required
- Rabies vaccination must be current
